Newly Approved NTR Recruiting Policy – Evaluation Window

 

The Evaluation Window begins the day after NTR Bid Regionals - May 4th. However, verbal and non-binding offers (without signatures) may not be made until two weeks after the start of the Evaluation Window - May 18th. Official binding written offers and the exchange of money remain prohibited until the Acceptance Date - July 7th.

 

Clubs may continue to accept payments during this period for clinics, leagues, camps, lessons, beach, and performance training, provided all fees remain reasonable and appropriate for the activity.

 

Key Dates for the 2026–2027 Season

• Evaluation Window Begins: May 4th, 2026

• First Day Verbal Offers Are Permitted: May 18, 2026

• Acceptance Date: July 7, 2026 (unchanged)

 

Purpose of the Change

This adjustment is intended to slow the recruiting process and reduce pressure on athletes to make immediate decisions at the start of the Evaluation Window. It allows players additional time to explore options and engage with multiple clubs before receiving offers.

HOW WILL Dig address the new policy

DIG will host DIG Athlete only, age-specific showcases from mid-April through May 1st. These sessions are designed exclusively for current DIG athletes and will provide an early opportunity for evaluation and feedback heading into the upcoming season.

Beginning the Monday after Regionals, DIG will transition into a two-week “Meet the Coaches” clinic series. These sessions will be open to both DIG and non-DIG players and are intended to give athletes and families the opportunity to train with, and get to know, our coaching staff.

In alignment with North Texas Region policy, verbal offers will begin on May 18th and continue thereafter as permitted.

The remainder of May will be used for additional clinics and evaluations to finalize rosters and fill any remaining spots across teams.
