Updated COVID Protocols as of March 10th (with the guidance of state and local authorities and the recent USAV guidelines):


  • Any person exhibiting signs of the virus should not enter the facility.

  • All persons entering and exiting the building will still be required to wear masks (including ALL spectators).

  • Hands must be sanitized upon entering the facility.

  • DIG athletes must wear a mask during team practices.

  • Masks will be optional for players during tournaments while on the court. Players not wearing a mask should keep them on their chin or around their neck for quicker access.

  • We are 100% supportive of players who choose to wear a mask at all times.

  • Players will need to wear a mask when on the bench and during huddles/time outs.

  • Teams will remain on the same side of the court for the entire match. We will not switch sides after sets.

  • Coaches will be equipped with hand sanitizer spray bottles and will spray athletes hands/arms at the beginning and end of practice/game and before taking water breaks (coaches may sanitize more often if desired or requested).

  • Masks will be optional for players participating in private lessons.

  • Skills and large group training will require a mask.

  • Masks will be required for all coaches.

  • Coaches will be reminding players to not touch their mouths or faces.

  • Spectators will no longer be limited during the spring volleyball league games.

  • Some seating is provided; chairs are also allowed.

  • Parents must keep siblings seated with them during games. We will NOT allow unsupervised minors to play upstairs or in other areas of the building.

  • Both sets of doors at Sportsplex will be used to enter and exit.

  • The workout gym is closed to all parties outside of DIG VBC

  • Players are to arrive no earlier than 15 mins prior to their practice/games and must exit the facility within 10 minutes of its conclusion.

  • Water fountains will be closed off. Water bottles should be brought from home or can be purchased at the front desk. The sharing of water bottles will not be allowed.

  • No outside food (snacks, gum/etc.) will be allowed. 

  • Sportsplex employees will be continuously sanitizing throughout the facility. 

  • Sanitation reminder signs will be posted throughout the facility

As an important reminder, please consider the following questions regarding your player before allowing them to attend a DIG/Sportsplex event:

1. Does the athlete have any of the following symptoms?

  • Fever (100 or greater)

  • Cough

  • Shortness of Breath/ Difficulty Breathing

  • Muscle or Body Aches

  • Headache

  • Recent Loss of Taste or Smell

  • Sore Throat

  • Congestion 

  • Nausea or Vomiting

  • Diarrhea 

Within the past 10 days, has the athlete been in contact with anyone that you know that has tested positive for Covid-19? (Contact being 6ft or closer for more than 15 minutes with a person or direct contact with fluids from a person with Covid 19).

Is your player or anyone in the household waiting to receive Covid-19 test results?

Within the past 10 days, has a public health or medical professional told the athlete or household to self-monitor, self-isolate, or self-quarantine because of concerns about Covid-19 infection?

If you can answer "Yes" to any of the above questions, your athlete SHOULD NOT ATTEND any DIG/Sportsplex event.
