Ben Campbell
Head Coach of 12 Blue

Coach Ben's Bio
Coach Ben is a tremendous asset to the DIG family. As both a talented player and coach, Ben is able to break down technique and the basics of volleyball in a manageable way that allows his young athletes to thrive for years to come.
Coach Ben started his coaching career with Sportsplex, followed by NRG volleyball club and Extreme volleyball club. Ben started with DIG in 2020 and would not want to coach anywhere else. “I’m really excited to coach the 12 Blue team because I know the fundamentals that I will help create this season will last them a lifetime,” said Ben.
Favorite core value at DIG
Ben’s favorite core value is DESIRE. He believes an athlete’s attitude and desire to improve in volleyball is the most important element. That includes your attitude towards improvement and your attitude towards your teammates and coaches. Ben says, “If you want to get better and focus on that desire every time you step foot on the court, you cannot lose, no matter what the score says.”
Personal
Ben says he is working out or working on his golf game when he is not coaching. He is also a photographer and videographer, and loves to spend time exploring those areas. He still plays sand or indoor volleyball tournaments and plays in other volleyball leagues when he can.
Maci Matherne

Coach Maci's Bio
DIG would like to give a big welcome to Coach Maci. Maci will be assisting both the 12 Blue team and 12 Black team. Maci may be as small as the kids she coaches, but don’t be fooled by her size. She brings a wealth of knowledge of the game of volleyball as a player in both high school, junior college and Division 1 college athletics.
As a stand out high school libero, she was the captain of her high school team for 3 years and earned all district honors each year and all state honors her senior year. Additionally, she received all-conference honors at Tyler Junior College during her time there. This will be Maci’s second year coaching club. While she assists the 12’s she’ll also be enrolled in graduate school to become a chiropractic sports therapist.
