Coach Caitlin's Bio
 

DIG is extremely excited to welcome Coach Caitlin to the DIG Family! Coach Caitlin grew up in Iowa and has an incredibly decorated playing career in both high school and college as an athlete. In high school, her team, under her leadership as captain, won back to back state championships. She was selected to the All-Tournament team, as well as First Team All-Conference, All-Metro First Team, and All-Eastern Iowa First Team for three years in a row.  Additionally, she was nationally recognized as one of the top 50 players under the prestigious Gatorade Player of the Year award. 

 

Caitlin went on to play for the University of Nevada at Las Vegas and then transferred to Ole Miss where they finished as NVIC Champions. 

 

After college, Caitlin decided to take her passion for the game of volleyball and transfer her knowledge to other young athletes as a coach. Caitlin has 5 years of coaching experience in club volleyball and is the head volleyball coach at Ursuline Academy. 

 

Her contagious smile and high expectations  will undoubtedly bring success to every athlete she coaches at DIG. Coach Caitlin believes that bringing an intention into practice- both personal and team intentions- as well as a high level of energy will differentiate her teams from the competition. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG 

Coach Caitlin believes that without desire there is no heart. When you play without heart, the question becomes why are you playing?  Knowing and believing in the WHY of the sport you are playing will bring desire and passion, which leads to success. Coach Caitlin has a strong desire herself to make her athletes perform at their best and is very excited to share that desire with her team this season. 

 

Personal 

Caitlin is close with her family even though they are spread out across the states. Her father is a Principal in Illinois, her mother is a Social Worker in Florida, and she has a brother who teaches and coaches in Colorado. Her family all believes in servant leadership and Caitlin is no exception. 

 

She is a personal trainer and enjoys exercise in many different forms, especially yoga, sand volleyball, and weight lifting. She likes traveling, finding new food places, and outdoor adventures with her dog!

Britton Farragut

Coach Britton's Bio
 

DIG is excited to  welcome Britton Farragut to the coaching staff. Britton is a graduate of the University of Mississippi where he played libero and then setter for the men’s club volleyball team. He led the team to the SEC championship game and finished 16th at the National Championship tournament. 

 

Britton started his coaching career in Mississippi, coaching a 16’s club team, before moving to Dallas. This past season, he led his 14U team to a National bid and served as the JV volleyball coach at Ursuline Academy as well. Britton is excited to meet the 14’s and start working with them on goal setting and improving their game. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG

Britton believes he inspires his athletes by instilling a love for the game and stressing the importance of work ethic in practice. His favorite core value at DIG is DESIRE. Britton says, “The desire to win, the desire to improve, the desire to work hard: these are all pivotal when it comes to success in sports. However, they are also crucial when it comes to success in a life beyond athletics, and we have a responsibility to prepare our athletes for that life beyond sports on top of preparing them for whatever match we play next.”

 

Personal

Britton grew up as the oldest of 4 boys. Sports were a cornerstone of the family activities. Family has always been very important to him and continues to be. In his free time, Britton enjoys playing volleyball, reading, going to the gym and cooking.

Sabyius Boggan

Coach Sabyius' Bio
 

DIG is extremely excited to welcome Coach Sabyius “Sab” to the DIG family. Coach Sab is an energetic coach and former player and will be a tremendous asset to the coaching staff. Coach Sab played for the Ole Miss Men’s Club Volleyball team during his tenure at the university. On top of playing at a high level, Coach Sab has coached volleyball since 2018 and has experience coaching ages 11-18’s. He enjoys both teaching the fundamentals of the game, as well as coaching strategy and tactics. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG

Coach Sab loves the core value, EFFORT. He says, “You don’t have to be the best player on the court or the hardest hitter, but you can always leave the biggest impact by giving your best effort at all times.” He believes the key to winning is to have a team that is determined to try their best and give their all at every practice and tournament. He also loves to instill finding joy in the “little things” with his athletes. He strives to lead by example because he believes if athletes see his positive light, they will follow. 

 

Personal 

Coach Sab enjoys playing volleyball, tennis and occasionally soccer when he has down time. He also loves animals, especially his dog named Harrison. He has two siblings and definitely identifies well as the middle child.

Megan Manning

Coach Megan was a standout high school athlete at Mesquite High School, lettering all four years on the varsity volleyball team, earning the District 12-5A MVP honor her senior year as well as 1st team all-district and second team all-area as an outside hitter. 

 

Megan went on to play college volleyball at Northwestern State University. She still holds the record for the second most digs in a season with 444 and was the fifth person in school history to reach the 1,000 career dig milestone. 

 

Megan has over 10 years of volleyball coaching experience and has worked at Dallas Juniors VBC, Texas Assault, and has been with DIG since 2019. Her teams have had tremendous growth and success over the years through teaching her athletes to set goals for themselves and for the team. 

 

Most recently, Megan’s 12 Black team last season won 4 tournaments- MLK Tournament, NTI Tournament, North Texas Spring Classic and Lonestar Classic in their division and finished the season ranked 8th in the region. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG

Megan’s favorite core value is EFFORT. She knows first hand how important effort is to being a successful volleyball player and has enjoyed sharing her passion with her players. Megan says, “I look for athletes that give it their best at all times and show a positive attitude.” 

 

Personal

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, attending sports events like Mavericks and Rangers games, reading and traveling.

Ken Ma

Coach Ken's Bio
 

Ken Ma is excited to join the DIG family this year, but is no stranger to coaching volleyball. Prior to coming to DIG, Ken spent 6 years coaching at Blocksport and worked with age groups 13-15’s primarily. 

 

Ken was introduced to volleyball when he was young and played for Greenhill before attending the University of Rochester, where he played libero and setter in college. 

 

Ken loves working with athletes to help them set small individual goals, which contribute to larger, overall team goals. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG 

Ken loves the core value of INTEGRITY. To him, this is a fundamental trait in athletes that includes being accountable for personal actions and even calling touches the referee doesn’t catch. When you are an athlete of integrity, this spills over into your personal life, which strengthens your overall character. 

 

Personal

Ken is excited to marry his fiance at the end of this year. When he’s not wedding planning, he enjoys coaching softball and spending time with family.

We are excited to welcome Coach Jon to the DIG family this season. His enthusiasm, motivating and encouraging words will be heard around the gym as he takes the helm of the 15 select team. In high school, Coach Jon was a stand out UIL 6A Texas State Wrestling Champion. It wasn’t until college that

 

Jon found his love for both playing and coaching volleyball. Coach Jon is a University of Texas at El Paso graduate. While in El Paso, he both played and coached volleyball in both the YMCA and in club volleyball. He coached at the YMCA for 5 years, as well as at El Paso United, El Paso Rapid Fire, and El Paso Hustlers. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG 

Coach Jon’s favorite core value is EFFORT. He states, “Not everyone is gifted with natural talent or born to be 6 foot tall. That’s not in our control. But what is in your control is the amount of effort you put into working on yourself.” He says he get his team fired up to play by motivating them from within. He continues, “You will have struggles and challenges but what is it that you want from it (Desire)? Are you doing everything in your power to get there (Effort)? Are you being true to YOURSELF (Integrity)? Are you truly appreciating what you’re doing and the others around you (respect)? And finally, are you enjoying it (Fun)?” 

 

Personal 

Coach Jon is currently engaged and will get married on March 26, 2022. He loves playing competitive volleyball, spending time with his fiance and two dogs as well as dancing the night away.

Coach Josh has been coaching at DIG for two years. Josh is a Baylor graduate for his undergrad and an SMU law graduate as well. His love for volleyball started in college, where he quickly grew to love the game and advanced very quickly in skill as an all-star libero and has travelled around the country and internationally to play. Josh holds his athletes to a high standard and finds setting goals important for the success of young athletes. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG 

Josh’s favorite core value is FUN!  “At 11 years old, these athletes are kids first,” Josh says. “We must give them a love of the sport as a foundation before they move on to higher, more intense levels of play and commitment.” Josh loves to teach the fundamentals and develop love for the game as a foundation. 

 

Personal

Josh is an attorney practicing family and business litigation during the day so his spare time is mostly still working. However, when he does have time off, he considers himself a Dallas foodie and is always trying out new cuisines around town. He still plays volleyball often and loves to travel and compete in several tournaments. He also serves on the board of the Dallas Independent Volleyball Association and is active in various charitable and service organizations in the DFW area.

Jessica grew up in Ohio in a family with seven brothers and sisters and knows first-hand what it truly means to be a family. As one of the Directors of DIG volleyball club, she brings that life experience, along with her playing and coaching experience to the DIG family in a big way. 

 

Jessica played high school and intramural club volleyball and then started her coaching career in 2014 coaching the Sportsplex Rec League, followed by Dallas Juniors prior coming to DIG in 2017. While at DIG, she has coached both at the academy and club levels. Her leadership potential and coaching style was quickly noticed and she joined the administrative staff as a director in 2019 after graduating with a degree in Business Management from Dallas Baptist University. 

 

Favorite core value at DIG

Her favorite core value at DIG is DESIRE. Jessica says, “When I see a player that will give their all for the sake of the team’s success and pursue the opportunities that will get them there, I am elated! You can have all the talent in the world and still miss it. Words are empty without action; seeing a player never give up and keep in good spirits through the challenges and losses is so important to me.” She has had great success in pushing her teams to be the best version of themselves.  

 

 

Personal

Jessica loves to hang out with friends, family, and her husband in her spare time. She lives her life for Jesus and is very passionate about her faith. You can find her playing volleyball, both indoor and sand, shopping, singing or reading when she isn’t working.

Coach Justin is going on his fifth season with DIG and could not imagine coaching anywhere else. Coach Justin is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University and has three years of college playing as a middle blocker and continues to play in adult leagues now. 

 

Coach Justin had a very successful year last season with his 13 Blue team, qualifying the team for Regionals. 

 

Justin enjoys coaching young athletes because he believes creating a strong foundation is necessary for later success. He believes that creating a foundation for skills as well as teaching athletes at a young age to work hard creates lifetime habits. Justin also teaches high school Geometry and loves to see his students find a love for math during their high school careers.  

 

Favorite core value at DIG 

RESPECT is the core value that Justin loves the most. “You have to respect your teammates to the point of trusting them to do their job on their court. Without respect, the team collapses and the chance for victory slips away,” Justin states.  Respect is critical off the court as well as more people gravitate to respectful people. 

 

Personal

Justin enjoys hanging out with friends when he’s not teaching or coaching. He also plays volleyball whenever he can and loves to relax and watch TV when he has down time.

Tricia has worked in the DFW volleyball community since 2005 coaching both high school and club volleyball.  Her volleyball coaching record can speak to her knowledge of the game and pursuit for excellence with her teams. Over 14 seasons as the head volleyball coach at Bishop Lynch High School, she amassed 420 wins and 139 losses (75% winning percentage). Under her leadership, her teams won five TAPPS 5A/6A state championships (2008, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), three appearances in the state finals (2009, 2010, 2016), four semi-final appearances (2011, 2017, 2018, 2019) and 1 quarterfinal appearance (2020). Tricia also received the District Coach of the Year on numerous occasions as well as the TAPPS Coach of the Year among all sports in 2015. 

 

Her teams have been nationally ranked and state ranked among both public and private schools on numerous occasions. Dozens of athletes have gone to play at the college level with most playing critical roles on their college teams at schools such as LSU, Baylor, Boston College, SMU, Loyola Maryland, St. Francis University, Tulane, St. Mary’s College, and many others.

 

During her tenure at Bishop Lynch, she also coached at Skyline juniors for 6 years, qualifying all of the teams she coached for Nationals. Additionally, she served as the Director of Admissions for 16 years and worked with over 9,000 families during the admissions process.  Tricia will be leading the DIG coaching staff and athletes to be the best they can be through the implementation of consistent processes and training across the club, select and academy programs. 

 

Outside of volleyball, Tricia has three children: two on earth and one in heaven, Cameron (10), Annabelle (deceased) and Andie (5) and a husband, Jonas. She enjoys coaching 5-year-old soccer and cheering for Cameron on the baseball field. She is extremely excited to work with athletes of all ages.
