Coach Katie's Bio

You will know Katie Clouston from camps, clinics and private lessons from her exuberant energy and contagious positively! Katie is the most recent asst. director of DIG, joining the DIG family in March 2021 full-time, but has been a familiar face at Sportsplex for many years. Katie started coaching with DIG at the academy level in 2017 and has since moved up to coaching the club level teams. Katie, a Chicago native, started playing club volleyball herself in 6th grade and played all the way through high school, so she is extremely familiar with what it takes to win and play competitive volleyball.

Katie instills confidence in her athletes through encouraging them constantly to strive for their best and constantly reviewing personal and team goals. As a daughter of a parent in education for 35 years, she learned lessons about teaching and mentoring from her mom.

Favorite core value at DIG

Katie’s favorite core value is DESIRE. “Desire is what fuels an athlete to put their wants into action. Desire goes hand in hand with competitiveness and the ability, regardless of the circumstance you face, to never quit. Desire keeps an athlete hungry and motivates an athlete to continue down the path for success. I find desire to be more pertinent and directly correlated to success than talent. Athletes that have the innate desire to improve are long-term goal oriented and are natural competitors. Desire helps athletes hold themselves accountable for their actions and effort put forth in training sessions, tournaments, practice, etc. At the end of the day, I want to be around athletes with the desire to progress and the desire to win.”

Personal

Katie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in public relations and Spanish and loves her sooners! In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, baking, crafting and spending time with family.

Favorite core value at DIG

Carrie loves the quote from Remember the Titans, “Attitude reflects leadership, Captain!”  The core value, INTEGRITY, is extremely important to Carrie. Having a foundation of strong moral principles and holding yourself and others to a high standard creates a roadmap for success. “I like to remind my players that they are there for each other and to step foot in the gym everyday with passion and integrity,” Carrie says.

Personal

Carrie absolutely loves travelling in her spare time and since college has visited Greece, Italy, France, Iceland, England, Ireland, Guatemala and Mexico! Next on her list is scuba diving in Croatia. Besides travelling, she enjoys playing volleyball in adult volleyball leagues.

Jasmine Anglin

Head Coach of 14 White

Coach Jasmine's Bio

Coach Jasmine is new on the DIG coaching staff this season.  We are incredibly excited about the enthusiasm that she brings to the court, as well as her volleyball knowledge from both playing and coaching volleyball.  Coach Jasmine is currently enrolled at the University of North Texas, studying Exercise Science. Prior to UNT, she attended both Oklahoma Panhandle State University and Brookhaven College, where she played volleyball. After OPSU, she took a detour and enrolled in the army to serve our country for three years.

Coach Jasmine started her coaching career in 2015, coaching at Lonestar Volleyball Club. She has worked with ages 6-16 through club teams, private lessons, positional training and rec leagues. Last season, she worked for Frisco Flyers as the 16’s coach and helped run several camps and clinics.

Favorite core value at DIG

Coach Jasmine’s favorite core value at DIG is EFFORT.  “Effort is one thing that athletes have complete control over. I believe that effort teaches athletes that they can do more than they think they can, resulting in them learning new skills and abilities they probably doubted with consistent effort,” says Jasmine. Jasmine’s favorite part of coaching is watching the confidence of her athletes grow.

Personal

Jasmine is very close to her family and has always loved playing and watching sports.  Her older brother played basketball and football and her mom played volleyball in Berlin, and has been a national USAV referee for volleyball ever since she was young. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her goldendoodle, traveling, watching sporting events and working out.
